PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Competency Enhancement Training forNurses (CETN) is a three month program designed to enhance the professional nurses’ competencies as promulgated by the Philippine Board of Nursing and based on internationally a ccepted nursing care standards.

The competency standa rds of the nurse include safe andeffective quality nursing care, management of environment and resources, health education, legal responsibility, e thico-moral responsibility, personal and professional deve lopment, quality provement, comm unication, record management, research,collaboration and teamwork, and customer service.

The program offers focused, multidisciplinary classroom training, as well as customized preceptorial clinical experience aimed at enhancing the nurse’clinicalkn owledge, technical skills, critical thinking and professional accountability in the delivery of world class nursing care.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS OF THE PROGRAM:
@Duly licensed registered nurse (RN)
@Newly graduated RNs who wish to have asuccessful transition from studentnurse to professional nurse and besubsequently hired by the hospital
@RNs who had been inactive in theprofession who would want to update theirnursing skills and,• @RNs who wish to receive an ellentfoundat ion for career advancementabroa d or as required by their futureemployers abroad.
