Hemodialysis Training Program

EMAILED TO AUTHOR:

Our Hemodialysis Training Program, which is conducted in partnership with B. Braun Avitum Phillipines, Inc. and accredited by the Renal Nurses Association of the Philippines.

This five-week course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide hemodialysis treatment and efficient care to renal patients. At the end of this course, participants should be able to apply the principles of hemodialysis in a dialysis facility; operate hemodialysis devices, water systems and reprocessing machines; practice infection control; provide renal patients with safe and efficient care; safeguard patients' vascular accesses; and coherently discuss hemodialysis with patients.

The program consists of one-week didactics at the Aesculap Academy Facility in Pasig City and four weeks hands-on training at any B. Braun Avitum Dialysis Center.

Registration fee is Eight Thousand Pesos (PhP 8,000.00), inclusive of kit, one set scrub suit, and meals during didactics.

The next course is scheduled on September 29 to October 31, 2008.

Only registered nurses are qualified to take the course; IV Therapy License is not a requirement.

Definition of RENAP: Renal Nursing Association of the Philippines

How to find RENAP:
OFFICE HOURS: 8-5
LOCATION: PHILIPPINE HEART CENTER
ADDRESS: East Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines
EXACT LOCATION: HOSPITAL BUILDING

DIRECTIONS:
1. leave an ID with the ENTRANCE guard
2. upon entering the building ride on the elevator located @ your right
3. go to the 4th floor
4. upon stepping out of the elevator turn right and go straight thru the corridor
5. at the end turn right (THIS IS SECTION 4A of the HOSPITAL BUILDING)
6. upon entering 4A which is a ward the location of RENAP OFFICE is behind the nurses' station
7. head back the same way you came from
8. get back the ID you left at the EXIT guard

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
1. create a list of references - personal or work related (It doesnt matter) - you will fill this out on their membership form.
2. provide your PRC number
3. NO need for ID picture
4. PAY 300 pesos
5. Validity of the ID is 1 year
6. You then will receive a hard paper card like ID wherein you will fill-in your name & signature
