Trainings for Nurses in the Philippines with USA Accreditation

Dedicated to Daisy, Luigi & Mercy

This shared information is intended for Philippine based BSN and/or RN

As a Philippine Registered Nurse waiting for my NCLEX eligibility, I at first found it difficult to apply for local hospital jobs here due to the many board passers and the conflict of compensation for nurses in the Philippines.

I managed to research Continued Education for Nursing that initially is provided by the recognized Philippine Nursing Association (PNA) a member of the International Council of Nursesusually held at the National Chapter. http://www.pna-ph.org/mainframe.html. The PNA offers seminars wherein half day would cost 300 for members and 350 for non-members, they also provide trainings where cost would range from 600 to 2500 depending on the number of days and whether you are a member or not. For half day seminars they are usually held on Fridays.

Then I realized with so much time on my hands I wanted to be more productive, instead of just seminars - I wanted RECOGNIZED trainings as my investment for my chosen profession.

SOME trainings nurses should consider * oh * and take note IT IS IMPORTANT WHERE YOU GET THEM ie. recognized by Philippine Based Hospitals and/or Abroad.

1. IV THERAPY
2. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
3. ADVANCE CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT
4. INTERMEDIATE IV, ADVNACE IV & PHLEBOTOMY
5. PEDIATRIC ADVANCE LIFE SUPPORT
