Internationally Recognized EMT Training


BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN – EMT (B)

This is the initial entry grade for all professional pre-hospital care providers. This grade is inclusive of ambulance staff and nursing personnel who can demonstrate appropriate training and experience in line with P.S.E.M.T. published standards (Appendix 1 refers). Entry may be afforded to applicants who are outside the full time professional sector on achievement of the following requirements:

Completion of a P.S.E.M.T. approved 280 hour training course and the achievement of the required pass mark in all sections of the National Final Examinations thereof (Appendix 1 refers).

Proof of a minimum of 250 hours hands-on patient management in the preceding twelve months. This must be confirmed by the applicants Officer – In – Charge and duly approved by the Society's National Executive Committee. Completion of a minimum of forty hours continuous medical education. Submission of a personal log of experience gained. Successful completion of National Examinations. The minimum age will be 20 years.

Septmber 08, 2008 to Oct 24, 2008

Admission Requirements: at least 3rd year college/university level ina medical course (i.e. BSN, BSPT etc.) or 4 year course grad subject to interview with the Training Director.

Course Duration is 7 weeks. Classes are Mon-Fri 9am to 5 pmTotal of 280 hours didactic, clinical theory and hands on + 250 hours post certification practical exposure if you pass the national final exams.

Venue is at Life Support's training facility in Cubao, Quezon City

Course fee is Php 20,000
